Senior Accountant

This is a Senior accounting opening for a growing division of a global company. This group has three manufacturing plants under its umbrella and the Dir. of Finance, CFO, GM and Controllership team is looking to build out a best-in-class accounting department of 10 professionals. There is ample opportunity to grow as the company continues to grow revenue. Great opportunity to have a voice, and make an actual difference as they have just invested in new technology to make accounting processes more efficient. The role will be involved with the following:

• Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities to include: general ledger, journal entries, balance reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Assist the Controller in making sure US GAAP standards are being maintained and designed into new policies and procedures.
• Work with external auditors and gather reporting documentation necessary to assist with the audits
• Internal controls and accounting maintenance when necessary
• Ad hoc accounting projects.

Requirements:

• BS/BA
• 5 years of corporate accounting experience
• Manufacturing, consumer, or retail industry experience is highly desired
• Exp. working for a global company (multi-currency)
• Must be agile and nimble as the company is building and growing
• Great communication skills
• Someone interested in leading by example and working collaboratively with existing employees
