Department: Provider Relations
About the Role: We are currently seeking a highly motivated Provider Relations Specialist. This role will report to our Director – IPA Operations.
Who you are:
  • Experienced in healthcare – You have a background in provider engagement, Medicare, Commercial and Medi-Cal managed care systems. Your experience gives you insight into the nuances of the healthcare industry, including value-based care models.
  • Knowledgeable about value-based care: You have a deep understanding of models of value-based care, including the ability to discuss outcomes, requirements for success, and the financial and clinical benefits of transitioning from volume-based to value-based care.
  • Detail oriented: You possess strong organizational skills and are adept at managing complexities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong in priority management: You’re skilled at juggling multiple tasks and priorities, making informed decisions.
  • Passionate about helping others: You’re motivated by the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of providers and patients alike.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment: You thrive in dynamic settings and are adaptable to the changing needs of the healthcare landscape.
What You'll Do:
  • Conduct routine visits to providers in assigned territory to not only develop trusted relationships, but also educate them on the nuances of value-based care.
  • Conduct provider onboarding, orientation, and ongoing educational training throughout the year to ensure providers remain informed about the latest in state and federal regulations, company policies and procedures, and best practices in value-based care.
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve provider inquiries efficiently and effectively, ensuring a seamless provider experience and compliance with all regulations.
  • Develop and execute strategies for retention, growth, contracting, and marketing within your assigned territories. This involves detailed reporting of provider visits, inquiries, trainings, and identification of growth opportunities.
  • Must be prepared to frequently travel to your assigned service area to meet with providers, understand their challenges, and provide solutions.
  • Take on other responsibilities as assigned by your management, which may include participating in special projects aimed at improving provider satisfaction and patient outcomes.
You're great for this role if:
  • Bachelor’s degree or significant related experience.
  • Experience with managed care informatics and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with providers and team members.
  • Proven track record of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 355 Gellert Blvd, Suite 200, Daly City, CA 90415.
  • This position is a field representative position and requires traveling depending on assignments or projects. This could be 2-3 times per week, and also requires monthly visits to provider offices.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
