Description:
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing existing on-premise applications and driving modernization efforts, including migration to cloud environments. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and developing full-stack software solutions using Java, SpringBoot, Oracle, Hibernate, and cutting-edge technologies such as microservices, micro front ends, and cloud services.
Responsibilities:
Lead Complex Technology Initiatives:
Spearhead companywide technology initiatives with broad impact.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop standards and best practices for engineering large-scale solutions.
Design, Code, and Test:
Create robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
Review and analyze complex technology solutions, considering tactical and strategic business objectives.
Influence Best Practices:
Drive the adoption of industry best practices and new technologies.
Make informed decisions to meet deliverables and foster innovation.
Collaborate and Consult:
Work closely with technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical challenges.
Serve as a mentor or lead projects and teams.
Required Qualifications (US):
5 years of Software Engineering experience (work experience, training, military experience, or education)
Proficiency with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
Strong Core Java skills
Experience with JavaScript Frameworks
Familiarity with Spring (preferably Spring Boot, MVC), ORM (Hibernate, Spring Data JPA), and Agile methodologies
Web Services expertise
Database experience (preferably Oracle dB) including PL/SQL and views
Proficiency in build tools like Gradle and Maven
Java testing framework experience (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
Hands-on development experience with web applications using HTML 5
Exposure to Fraud management UI and middleware applications
Desired Qualifications:
Microservices development experience
Cloud computing knowledge
Familiarity with Angular or React JS
Event-driven solutions using Kafka
Understanding of application security (penetration testing, secure code review, static code analysis)
Ability to address complex customer issues and translate business requirements into technical specifications
