About JobWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Event Coordinator in the Architecture & Planning industry. As an Assistant Event Coordinator, you will work closely with the event planning team to ensure the smooth execution of various events and conferences within our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about event planning and desires to support the coordination of impactful events in the architecture and planning industry.
Salary Range: $21.00 - $31.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of various events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops
  • Coordinate logistical details such as venue selection, catering arrangements, and audiovisual equipment setup
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop event themes, agendas, and content
  • Manage event budgets, by tracking expenses and negotiating vendor contracts to optimize resources
  • Coordinate event registrations, including ticket sales and attendee communication
  • Support with on-site coordination including setup, registration, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during events
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field
  • Previous experience in event coordination or related roles is preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented mindset
  • Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and ability to anticipate potential issues and provide solutions
