The Mechanical Engineer 2 ensures maximum cost effectiveness and reliability of manufacturing processes and workflow. Reviews and dispositions non-conforming product, with a focus on product reliability and customer satisfaction. Develops a vast knowledge of our diverse product line and provides expert advice to other departments as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • (Material Review Board) – Review and disposition parts. Able to provide justification for how to handle each non-conformance and follow the parts through the process to ensure proper handling of the non-conforming product. Work with other departments to understand cause and effect of major and minor non-conformances.
  • design and implementation.
  • trouble shooting and problem solving both alone and within larger groups with varying difficulties.
  • a part of investigations to determine root cause and preventative measures for various in-service failures.
  • to gain overall knowledge and proficiencies with Aerospace specifications and regulations.
  • Manufacturing decisions on processes based on various company specifications and experience in a timely manner.
  • on learning to understand any and all processes.
  • writing in various forms including: APQP elements, work instructions, engineering changes/requests, etc.
  • responsibilities as assigned.
  • consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering required (Mechanical preferred, others welcome)

Years of Experience: Minimum two years of engineering experience

  • to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities
