Veterinary Technician

As an independent, relief veterinary technician at VetIQ Staffing, you will haveflexibility with your schedule. We work with a variety of clinics both privately owned and established brands.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarian with examining animals and checking their health status
• Assist veterinarian with running diagnostics and determining the best treatment.
• Assist veterinarian with dressing the wounds of injured animals.
• Assist veterinarian with medical and surgical treatments with formulary approved pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment.
• Partner with clients as an advocate for the pet to plan follow-up visits, provide home-care instructions, and preventive care.
• Help with maintaining relevant and comprehensive medical records.
• Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
• The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and veterinarian.
• Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
• Practice in accordance with the principles of veterinary medical ethics to deliver quality care.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Veterinary Technician Licensed preferred (but not required)
