Overview:
Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ultimately, the role of the Construction Accountant is to ensure that our financial management is accurate and effective.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining or reviewing accounting files, payable and receivable.
• Preparing/organizing various reports, financial forms, and analyses.
• Issuing invoices and purchase orders.
• Paying consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and supplier bills.
• Collaborating with the project manager to develop a detailed, cost-effective budget for the project.
• Keeping a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.
• Assisting where needed during down time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year experience with QBO required.
• Experience with Sage accounting software preferred.
• Experience working with construction company preferred.
• Knowledge or experience using Procore preferred.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
