We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will provide support to the dentist and dental hygienist in delivering quality oral healthcare to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, excellent patient assessment skills, and proficiency in dentrix software.
- Candidates must have at least 3 years experience in dentistry
- The ability to work in both locations is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as mixing materials and taking impressions
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following treatment or surgery
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in patient records
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Proficiency in dental software dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures
- Excellent patient assessment skills, including vital signs monitoring
- Ability to take accurate dental x-rays
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus
- Experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial
