Expression is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Action Officer to manage and drive key projects and initiatives critical to the strategic and operational success of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in defense programs, joint organization staffing, and cross-functional team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate projects and initiatives under the guidance of the DoD CIO, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and federal regulations.
• Manage the development and coordination of policy and strategic planning documents, ensuring they meet the standards and objectives of the DoD.
• Engage with various stakeholders across multiple departments and agencies to facilitate effective collaboration and information sharing.
• Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders to communicate project status, insights, and recommendations.
• Assess and manage risks associated with projects and initiatives, developing mitigation strategies to address potential issues and ensure project success.
• Review and provide input on legislative and regulatory proposals that could impact the Office of the CIO and its initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role within the DoD or a comparable federal agency.
• Proven experience in staffing and project management within joint organizations and defense programs.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong background in writing, coordinating, and implementing policies and strategies within a defense or government setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to assess, articulate, and manage risk.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with the latest technologies and cybersecurity policies in the defense sector.
• Experience with federal IT acquisition processes.
