WANTED: An experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage the daily security operations of our Crystal City (Arlington, VA) office; with experience in managing and overseeing the DOD security program of a government contractor’s facility.

As an FSO, you will: 

• Apply your knowledge, skills, and abilities in the management of our complex Crystal City (Arlington, VA) facility that supports multiple Government customers at multiple classification levels.

A week in the life of an FSO:

• Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.
• Act as Top-Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.
• Administer and maintain physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguard of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.
• Develop and conduct security briefings and security education programs.
• Provide oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information.
• Prepare, send, and receive visitor certifications.
• Investigate losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage the continuing eligibility program for employees.
• Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures.
• Conduct yearly self-inspection in preparation for government yearly compliance inspection and complete compliance cycle.

• Bachelor's with 6 years of experience or a Master's with 2-4 years of experience preferred.
• Experience with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, and theories.
• Knowledge of DOD, DOE, or other industrial security programs.
• Familiarity with the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's), and other national security standards.
• Experience utilizing DISS, e-QIP, NCAISS, NCCS, NISS, SWFT, and other security databases such as Access Commander and/or SIMS.
• Familiarity with access control systems such as Onguard or similar systems preferred.
• Must complete, or have completed, required FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
