Position Description:JTEC Consulting is hiring a Data Governance Analyst to work in support of a large-scale data analytics platform. This position requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to work directly with the government customer in a dynamic mission driven environment. Qualified candidates will have experience in a federal contracting environment coordinating between strategic goals and objectives and developing business architecture strategies based on enterprise goals. Prior experience supporting policy and structure of business processes for a data-focused organization is required.
Duties and responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Work as part of an enterprise-wide team and provide expertise to support the development of data-focused policies and communication for a defense analytics platform
- Conduct analysis and provide recommendations regarding data management, artificial intelligence (AI) management, and communications regarding data policies
- Support the organization’s governance structure, business processes, and business information
- Align program’s strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding data and communications products and services, capabilities, and key business and technology initiatives
- Develop a business architecture strategy based on a data analytics situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations
- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing key views from enterprise stakeholders
- Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance
- Define the set of strategic, core, and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries
- Identify external entities and external systems that interact with the business to consider the people, resources, and controls involved in processes
- Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units
- Promote best practices for policy implementation
- Other duties as assigned
- U.S. citizenship
- Current secret level security clearance (at a minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- 5 years of related experience with policy and governance
- Experience supporting a federal government agency in developing business architecture and strategies for data information, data analytics, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, or strategic communication of these data-focused disciplines
- Experience structuring business processes and business information in a business intelligence environment
- Experience aligning goals and objects with larger enterprise-level decisions
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior management and stakeholders
- Proficiency working across MS Office Suite including advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with data visualization tools and dashboards is a plus
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with government and contractor teams
- Availability to work on-site
