Job Summary:

• Perform tasks involving physical labor at highway and heavy construction projects.
• The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Worker may clean and prepare sites, assist and help support excavations and trench safety.
• Will provide training as necessary.
• Work area typically southern Minnesota and northern Iowa; occasionally farther.
• This is a seasonal position.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license required and safe driving record; CDL Class A license a plus!
• Must be able to perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects.
• Pre-employment drug testing.
• Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, stand, climb, shovel and lift up to 75 lbs. and perform numerous tasks that require physical agility and manual dexterity
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• Must be able to work extended hours during the construction season, and willing to travel.
• Must be able to work outdoors, sometimes in extreme weather conditions.
• Conduct self in a professional manner at all times in the execution of duties.
• Must report to work as scheduled.
• Maintain professional demeanor in all dealings with clients, supervisors and employees.

• Must work as a team to complete jobs safely and effectively.
• Demonstrate proficiency in adhering to all Federal, State, and Local laws.
