Position Purpose: The Environmental Compliance Supervisor acts as the primary contact for all environmental agencies and ensures factory compliance with established environmental sampling, testing, and reporting requirements. The role involves troubleshooting noncompliance issues and implementing corrective measures.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for state environmental agencies, managing all semi-annual and annual reporting.
• Oversee compliance with Title V air, water, and landfill permits, including daily opacity testing and emission stack compliance.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with NPDES wastewater discharge parameters and stormwater collection requirements.
• Manage solid waste operations, including landfill compliance, mud remediation, and byproduct management.
• Update and maintain Spill Prevention Control Countermeasure (SPCC) plans, coordinate training, and ensure monthly inspections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance within a manufacturing setting.
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team of 2-6 union employees.
• Relevant certifications, such as Waste Disposal Facility Operator and Waste Water Operator, or ability to obtain within the first two years.
