Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Draftsperson / CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both 2D and 3D drafting and design, with a strong background in structural steel detailing. This role is crucial in coordinating mechanical, structural, and civil elements with new work, ensuring accuracy and cohesion in all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and designs for structural steel projects.

Coordinate mechanical, structural, and civil components to integrate seamlessly into new work.

Create precise documents for the sizing and placement of cranes and forklifts for equipment and steel structure installation.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.

Review and modify designs based on feedback from project managers and engineers.

Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions.

Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.

Support the project manager as needed, with the potential for growth into an assistant project manager role.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for both 2D drafting and 3D modeling.

Extensive experience in structural steel detailing.

Strong understanding of mechanical, structural, and civil engineering principles.

Ability to create accurate and detailed technical drawings and documents.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Willingness to work on-site (remote work is not an option).

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, or a related field.

Previous experience working in a similar role within the structural steel industry.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for structural steel detailing.
