Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator with expertise in Windows environments to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting our Windows-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role requires a proactive professional with a deep understanding of Windows servers, networking, and enterprise-level system administration.

Who You Are

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Windows systems administration in an enterprise environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
• Experience with security practices and tools, including antivirus and patch management.
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with networking principles and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Batch) for automation and management tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Windows Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Active Directory Administration: Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS and DHCP to ensure proper authentication and authorization.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus, patch management, and compliance with security policies and standards.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Disaster Recovery: Maintain, develop and manage Ampirical's DR Plan.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize system resources to ensure optimal performance.
• Virtualization: Manage and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) to optimize resource utilization and system performance.
• Troubleshooting: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Windows server-related issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Compliance: Ensure systems comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
