Merkin Vineyards is a small Arizona Vineyard and Winery currently producing 8,000 cases. We work with a very diverse range of grapes grown at high elevation, both red and white. Our company is family owned and operated and is firmly committed to its core mission of growing Arizona grapes to produce Arizona wines at an award-winning level of quality and consistency.We are currently recruiting for a detail orientated individual who is self-motivated and goal oriented to fill the position of Vineyard Laborer out of our Verde Valley vineyards.
The Role:
The primary responsibilities of a Vineyard Laborer are to perform the manual functions for developing and maintaining company vineyards with an elevated skillset.
What you will be doing:

• Prune, tie, pick, train, weed, thin, de-leaf, plant, sucker, graft, harvest, or repair trellis, as needed to maintain or improve the condition of the vines
• Prepare and plant the vineyards
• Install trellis, irrigation, and drainage system in the new vineyards
• Properly maintain safety procedures in all production areas at all times, and to inform the Vineyard Supervisor of any safety problems that may arise
