Journeyman Tool & Die Maker and Machinist
Plastech Inc., is a Custom Plastic Injection Molding company in Oregon. We are looking for a Full Time Tool & Die Maker with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the industry.
An ideal candidate would be able to design, program and machine a mold for complex parts for injection molding. In addition, duties also include mold modifications, performing preventative maintenance on current molds and repair molds that are worn or damaged.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Good communication skills and written skills to interact between tool department and molding department.
· Work with customers on new projects and part design for plastic injection molding.
· Experience working with tool steels such as P-20, H-13, Stainless, and Aluminum.
· Able to use Mastercam or Cimatron or equivalent will be preferred.
· Perficient in 3 axis CNC machining, Sinker EDM, Lathe.
· Ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measure.
· Ability to troubleshoot mold issues
· Proficient in the use of inspection and measurement equipment.
· Detail and safety orientated
· Well organized
· Able to lift 50 lbs.
