Weekday Evening Shift - Residential Home for Adults with Developmental Disabilities (Corvallis)
Our company runs several residential care homes in Corvallis that serve adults with disabilities. Our employees do not need specialized medical or behavioral intervention training or experience, as our residents have mild developmental disabilities and are independent in many ways. We strive to maintain a fun, caring environment for both residents and staff.
Shift is 5-9pm Monday - Friday. Additional fill-in shifts are often available. No prior experience necessary.
Duties include:
- Keeping residents safe and healthy
- Administering medications
- Ensuring residents get healthy meals
- Light household cleaning
- Socializing with residents - providing activities and taking them on outings
- Providing transportation for residents as needed (company vehicle available)
Compensation & benefits:
- Starting rate of $18/hour with annual increases
- Paid sick/vacation leave
- Partially paid health benefits for part-time employees, partial coverage for additional family member(s)
- Holiday pay on all Federal holiday
- Optional retirement plan w/ matching contribution
Minimum Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- Satisfactory criminal background check (Applicants who have had a substantiated allegation of abuse against them need not apply.)
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- First Aid/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
Applicants must be dependable, hardworking, patient, and caring - employees responsible for the well-being of residents. Our residents are high functioning and mobile, and they enjoy interacting socially.
