The Robin’s Nest Childcare Center and Preschool House is hiring for an Early Childhood Teaching position. Job Requirements: We are seeking candidates who are patient, nurturing, kind, and confident leaders. Must be willing to sit on the ground, sing with children, and play outside in all weather. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, be excited to come to work, and enjoy working with the very young. Experience in Waldorf early childhood education is appreciated, but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Earned or working toward a degree in Early Childhood education or a related field. Ex: HDFS, psychology, education, social work, etc.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Comfortable holding and tending to infants and toddlers.
  • Familiarity with a variety of age appropriate instructional, assessment, and behavior management strategies that reflect current research on best practices.
  • Content to work independently with a small group of children, meeting state ratios.
  • Able to work cooperatively as a member of a team and supervise assistants and other staff as designated.
  • Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with all parents, children, community members, and staff members.
  • Comfortable and willing to provide constructive criticism to fellow staff members in an encouraging way.

Salary range is competitive and depends on experience. We offer benefits, generous financial support for professional development, and a variety of paid and unpaid days off throughout the year.
