Marin Country Day School is Hiring an After School Coach Near Corte Madera, CA

After School Coaches Needed

August 26, 2024- June 6th, 2025,

Non-Exempt Part-Time

Looking for experienced coaches for the 2024/25 Academic Year. We have 3 seasons of sports with several teams in each grade, ranging from 5th-8th. Our program runs from 3:00PM on Mon, Tue, Thur and Fri, Wed 2:00 PM on.

Sports:

Girls and Boys Basketball

Girls and Boys Volleyball

Girls and Boys Soccer

Track and Field and Cross Country

Depending on how many teams per season are coached (i.e. Girls volleyball 6th grade and JV) will depict the hourly commitment. If a coach is committed to one grade level team, hours would be approximately 5-8 per week. If a coach commits to coaching 2 teams in one season, hours would range from 10-16 hours per week depending on the schedule and teams.

We are interested in Coaches who can commit to 2 seasons of coaching, three would be awesome. Generally each team practices 2-3 days per week, including weekday games. Basketball usually encompasses a few Saturday clinics and playoffs.

Most practices start at 3:10, with the JV or older kids starting at 4:45. Practices are 1.5 hours.

Some games will be off campus at other schools. Coaches are compensated for the drive time both ways and coaching time.

Pay

Practice - $125 (1.5 hours)

Game- $125

Away Game- $125 each way driving, $250 for game

Saturday clinic, game or track meet- $250 per event

Coaches Must Have:

  • Previous team coaching experience with kids ages 10-15
  • Encompass passion for the sport and coaching
  • Ability to follow the MCDS Mission and encompass those values into your coaching style
  • A calm demeanor when dealing with players, families and other coaches
  • Be reliable and commit wholly to the coaching season, punctual and organized
