Please review the job information below. he staff RN will primarily be assigned to coordinate clinical needs of the EP and Cath services. This nurse will be responsible for but not limited to: - Ensure efficient referral process to the EP and Cath services *Collect and review pertinent outside records (last cardio notes, ekg readings, labs to rule out other disease processes prior to appointment) *Facilitate appointment scheduling *First contact with family to discuss services Pre-operative Coordination *Resource for patient/family with questions after initial appointment with EP MD and Interventionalists * Ensure all pre-op orders are entered and result review * Review chart * Recent H&P (could potentially do H&P in day surgery) * Notify patient when to stop medications prior to procedure Post-Op Coordination * Patient education and discharge instructions * Resource for patient / family with questions after discharge * Help coordinate ff-up visits Pacemaker Monitoring and Care *Helps patients and family be familiar with the remote monitoring designed for pacemakers * Helps with home monitoring by daily review of notifications, contacting family/patients for symptoms check to correlate the notifications *Review notifications with EP physician for appropriate treatment plan *Facilitate timely and appropriate follow-up (i.e. monthly, every 6 months, or annually) *Consistent resource for family /patients with questions and concerns Until all children are well.
