The ideal candidate will not only be skilled in assessing patients and providing care, but will also use critical thinking and good judgment to integrate objective data with the subjective nature of each patient’s biological, physical, and behavioral needs. SCHEDULE:This is a full-time position with a flexible weekly schedule, offering options for part-time and PRN positions to accommodate a variety of work preferences and personal needs.
Objectives of this role
- Deliver a high standard of medical care according to the specific orders of each patient’s physician
- Work alongside staff members as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team
- Follow a model of care that supports the wellness of our patients and staff
- Serve as a primary source of medical information for patients and caregivers
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment of care for patients and their families
- Identify, assess, and monitor patients’ health conditions
- Administer medications and provide treatment according to physician’s orders
- Provide health education, medication review, healthcare coordination, and specialist referrals
- Monitor blood pressure and chronic conditions
- Ensure that all treatments and medications are fully documented in patients’ health records
- Bachelor’s of science degree (or equivalent) in nursing
- Licensure as a registered nursewith the state of practice
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Specialized certifications relevant to your healthcare organization's needs, such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or other specialty certifications.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, the ability to analyze complex situations, and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient in performing nursing procedures, administering medications, using medical equipment, and utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communication skills, including effective written and verbal communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Prioritize patient-centered care, showing empathy, compassion, and the ability to advocate for patients' needs and preferences.
