We're currently seeking a Project Manager in the Charlotte area for a commercial general contractor client. The projects they build are mostly ground up commercial construction within various markets such as education, parks/rec, office spaces, industrial, and retail.

Prior commercial construction experience is a requirement for this position

Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with client/owner, architect, and engineer. Ensure they will want to renew the construction experience with our company.
• Maintain a positive image of the company with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
• Partner with Preconstruction Services regarding value engineering/constructability, soliciting bidders, estimating assistance, and generating proposals.
• Set up and maintain project cost accounting.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule.
• Support the permitting, testing and inspection requirements of the project.
• Negotiate subcontractor agreements and equipment/material purchase orders.
• Various other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, other relevant degree or equivalent work experience
• Must have relevant commercial construction experience - ideally ground up
• Familiarity with Procore, Microsoft office, and other common tools
• Ability to reliably commute to office in Charlotte, NC
• Excellent verbal and written communication

The salary range for this position relies heavily on experience, but a rough range of the base salary is $90-125k
