Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly and hard-working, customer service-oriented associate to join our growing private practice in Coral Gables, FL. This is a medical assistant-customer service position for a Primary Care practice.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Associates degree required
• BLS certification
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) required
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Outgoing, friendly, compassionate personality
• Strong phone skills (i.e., diction, active listening)
• Strong written communication skills (i.e., emails, text, letters)
• Phlebotomy
• Administration of IM medications/vaccines
• Perform EKG
• Previous experience in a medical office
• Tech savvy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Time management skills
• Ability to multitask
• Team player
• Local resident preferred (i.e., within 30 min. drive to and from Coral Gables, FL)

Duties and Responsibilities

Regular business hours are Mondays to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Opening Team: clock-in at 7:45 am; clock-out 4:45pm

CORE DUTIES

• : assist with direct patient care, check in and out patients, interview them, takes vital signs, register all medical information in the electronic records.
• Educates and advises patient about chronic conditions as instructed by the doctor.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry etc.
• Works and completes task and messages in the electronic medical records in a timely manner.
• Practices safety environmental and infection control methods.
• triage incoming phone calls, emails, faxes among others. Sort them to the appropriate person/department in a timely manner. Ensure all voicemails are answered promptly. Register patients, scan documents in the chart, verify insurance eligibility prior to visits.

OTHER DUTIES

• Develop a broad base knowledge of all services and products offered in the practice ensuring consistency with any information delivered to patients
• Check-in patients (i.e., greet warmly, patient registration)
• Prep exam rooms
• Check-out patients (i.e., schedule next appointments, lab visits etc.)
• Confirm appointments
• Any other assignment not listed that is required to provide customers with the best experience in the journey to enhance their own health.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
