Job Title: Dental Assistant

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to patient care, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
  • Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Communicate with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist with front office tasks as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program
  • Radiography certification (if state required)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Bilingual abilities
  • Knowledge of dental charting and terminology
