EXP is looking for a Grants ComplianceManager who will serve on a variety of multimodal and intermodal planning initiatives and projects for the oversight of the PTO programs and projects for transit, aviation, seaports, railroads, intermodal access and freight movement. Contract responsibilities include providing program management and technical support for FDOT Modal Development activities. 

• Reviewing work products created by external agencies for FDOT such as grant applications, transit development plans, modal projects, work program/budget development for modal projects, technical methodology proposals, scopes of work, staff hour estimates for proposed work, meeting minutes, technical correspondence, and project schedules for contracted projects
• Preparing technical methodology proposals, scopes of work, staff-hour estimates and project schedules
• Coordinating and attending internal, public, and interagency meetings related to DEPARTMENT projects or contracted projects

Work is performed under general supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment based on professional education and previous experience.

• Assist Planners/Engineers in the evaluation of project designs, plans, and technical documents
• Conduct basic office functions, as needed, such as data entry, file management, and customer service
• Supporting entry and review of project tracking using as TransCIP, JACIP and SeaCIP
• Knowledge of the transportation planning process and associated regulations
• Knowledge of federal, state funding programs for transit and other modal projects
• Section 5310/5311 Federal Transit Grant Programs
• Development of grant compliance training presentations
• Conducting grant compliance trainings on behalf of FDOT
• Assisting with Project Management Site Visit Reports
• Reviewing Transit Development Plans
• Ability to participate in the FDOT’s Compliance Monitoring Program
• Ability to compile, organize, and analyze data
• Ability to communicate effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the audience
• General support for Grants Management and Applications
• Present report findings at public and community meetings
• Providing Staff Augmentation Support

What your experience looks like

• Basic understanding of modal development principles
• Competency in various computer software programs and FDOT Intranet, such as Microsoft Office, GIS, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and AutoCAD
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Motivated self-starter able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• 5 of experience with related experience
