ASG is Hiring a Construction Manager Near Conway, SC

The ConstructionManager at ASGis responsible for the overall management of assigned construction projects, through to acceptance of the job by ASG client(s).

Pay Scale: $72,000 - $82,000

What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of in-house and subcontractor construction/installation crews during the planning stages, walk outs, installation, construction, and final approval of all project-related services 
  • Identify qualified subcontractors as needed for job assignments 
  • Develop initial budgetary cost estimates and responsible for the department Profit and Loss; obtain approval of all budgetary estimates prior to starting a job 
  • Confirm all necessary documentation and approvals have been acquired and in hand prior to starting the job 
  • Responsible for ensuring jobs are completed on schedule and that workmanship quality standards are met 
  • Address and get approval from client for all design and cost changes based on new design; communicate all changes to the client 
  • Acquire all permits when necessary 
  • Review and approve all contractor payment requests and invoices 
  • Ensure billing is accurately submitted in a timely manner 
  • Attend client meetings as needed; act as a resource for dispute resolution 
  • Coordinate close out and “punch list” 
  • Conduct and promote daily job safety briefings; visit job site location on daily basis 
  • Responsible for making sure all vehicles and equipment are in safe working condition and up to date on inspections and maintenance 
  • Make sure all jobs are entered correctly into the ASG Flow system 
  • Performs other duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classification 

What you’ll need: 

General

  • 3 years of related experience in the telecom industry with a general understanding of products/standards 

Technical 

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of telecommunications, Outside Plant, construction, Fiber Restoration, and splicing/testing 
  • Fiber and copper background a plus 

Desired Skills 

  • Requires excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite 

Job Type: Full-Time – Salary (Exempt) 

Your Working Environment:

  • Work hours will be dictated by the needs of the business for client-related project schedules; field working conditions to oversee project progress. 
  • Travel daily to job sites within a local geographic area (90%). 
  • On occasion, for special projects, or to attend company-approved meetings, travel outside the normal area will be required (10%). 

Your Physical Requirements:

  • Walking, standing, driving, and travel by the most efficient method available.
