Quality Control Manager A sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining company is seeking a Quality Control Manager for their team. This direct hire role is perfect for a strong leader with at least 10 years of experience. Responsibilities of the Quality Control Manager
- Develop and manage inspection and testing of materials, parts, and assemblies
- Supervise Inspection team members with a continuous improvement mindset
- Develop and conduct applicable training, including quality measurement equipment
- Partner with Operations to better support their quality control needs within a fast-paced environment
- Ensure that quality control programs align with business needs and conform to applicable company and customer requirements
- Develop and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Collect and analyze reports; maintain database
- Perform additional tasks and projects as required
Qualifications of the Quality Control Manager
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, or related technical field preferred
- 10 years of experience in a quality inspection role
- 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a precision tolerance machining/metal forming environment
- 10 years in a leadership/supervisory role
- Advanced knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO9100, AS9100, ISO13485 etc.)
- ASQ certification a plus
- Ability to use measuring devices and read/interpret prints and specifications
- Proficient knowledge of machining, metal forming, and mechanical assembly procedures
