Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Control Assistant that will work under the direction of the Director of Operations, laboratory documentation management. This position requires knowledge of various types of standards such as HACCP and GMP. This individual is required to work closely with the R&D Technologist, Regulatory Compliance Coordinator, Production and QC Technologist.

QC Assistant will work onsite in Concord/Charlotte NC.

Responsibilities:

Laboratory Testing and Documentation

• Raw material product testing and record keeping
• Reviews production documentation and Certificates of Analysis.
• Performs environmental swabbing for production and the facility.
• Maintains shelf life samples
• Assists QC Technologist, Regulatory Compliance Coordinator and R&D for any other necessary tasks.

Technical Service

• Production support
• Line checks (x-ray, check-weigher, weights)
• Bag Checks (labels, seals, paperwork for batches)
• Evaluates raw material receipt and BOM for completeness and proper information

Sensory Analysis

• Organoleptic testing of all production batches made at PreGel America facility
• Organoleptic testing of raw materials as needed

Requirements:

• HS Diploma
• Speak, read and write in English
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance, color, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Working knowledge of GMPs and GLPs required
• Comfortable going up and down stairs throughout the day. Able to climb steep stairs when necessary.
