Belt Power is Hiring a Manufacturing Laborer Near Commerce, CO
Job Summary:As a Belt Technician at Belt Power, LLC., you will perform a variety of duties to customize heavy duty belts and rubber components to the customer specification either in-house or at a customer site.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Build / repair belts and conveyor belt components
- Install and vulcanize lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting.
- Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area, follows sales orders.
- Attention to detail.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.
- Perform duties to fabricate, install and repair conveyor belting and systems.
- Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment
- Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner
- Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Organization and prioritization skills; attention to detail
- Strong mechanical background
- The ability to interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure.
- Basic math skills and computer skills
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Adapt to changing situations
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, as well as ability to work at heights and tight spaces
- Overtime hours and weekend work may be required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
- Maintenance, belt tech experience preferred
Job Requirements:
- Work is physically strenuous, and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 75-100 pounds
- Work may require excessive bending or stooping
- Overtime and weekend work may be required
- May involve travel
- Employee required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform the job
- Employee required to climb ladders
- Employee required to use hand tools
- Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift)
- Employee required to organize and coordinate schedules
- Employee required to calibrate precise measurements
