Job Description: Graphic Designer

The Center for Christian Virtue (CCV) Graphic Designer supports the mission of CCV by producing content to support the various projects of the organization. In conjunction with Department Directors and Communications Team, the Graphic Designer ensures CCV consistently conveys a compelling and clear message to key audiences.

Reports to: Communications Director

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Compensation: Competitive (exempt) salary commensurate with experience

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Key Responsibilities

• Design CCV-branded materials using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Assist with video and audio content production to convey CCV’s mission and message. 
• Take and edit photographs of CCV events and staff.
• Operate as a liaison between CCV and professional printers and vendors.
• Produce multimedia content (graphics, photos, videos) for CCV’s social media pages, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. 
• Design logos and marketing materials to promote key events through email, print, media, and other channels. 
• Innovate multimedia strategies to communicate CCV’s mission and reach new audiences across Ohio and the nation.
• In cooperation with the CCV team and outside consultants, develop communications strategies for CCV-run networks (Christian Business Partnership, Church Ambassador Network, Ohio Christian Education Network).
• Draft, edit, and publish CCV email communications.
• Maintain CCV websites, including ccv.org, backpackbill.com, and buckeyeballot.com.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Skills and Experience

• 2-4 years of graphic design experience.
• Photography, video, and audio production experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Adobe Creative Suiteand Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of the latest Content Management Systems (CMS) on platforms such as WordPressor Squarespace. 
• Strong visual, written and verbal communication; ability to communicate effectively, thoroughly, and accurately. 
• Attentive to detail and well-organized. 
• Ability to operate on a schedule, and prioritize and meet multiple, simultaneous deadlines—without immediate or constant supervision—while remaining flexible with ever-changing priorities.

Character and Spiritual

• Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.
• Agreement with and adherence to CCV’s Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
• Demonstrated commitment to CCV’s mission and position on Core Issues.
• Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
• Trustworthy, responsible, tactful, diplomatic, and focused on building consensus rather than emphasizing differences.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism focused on client/constituent relationships.
