Job Summary:

Responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, budget reports, budgets and narratives in the continuation applications in accordance with GAAP and funders’ requirements, implementation of effective internal controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Prepare, review and/or approve journal entries related to all accounting functions to include but not limited to fixed assets, depreciation, non-federal share, indirect cost d allocation of insurance, audit fees, adjustments and other related entries.
• Track and analyze limitation of administrative costs charged to federal awards, state contracts and funder requirements.
• Prepare and/or generate monthly financial & other reports in accordance with GAAP and/or funder requirements.
• Streamline/develop procedures on current and/or new processes (to include templates, checklist,

etc.) for effective and efficient financial operational controls.

• Assist in updating Fiscal Policies and Procedures and implementing best practices.
• Back-up to and provide support to Accounting Associates.
• Other responsibilities & duties assigned by the CFO.
• Perform all duties in accordance with established policies and procedures and in compliance with federal awards, state contracts, and funder requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting AND a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in all aspects of accounting.
• Minimum two (2) year experience with a financial accounting software -Sage Intacct, preferred
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Completed or assisted with the preparation of financial reports and budgets
• Ability to reconcile accounts & make journal entries
• Ability to track information
• Ability to analyze accounts, problem-solve, and recommend plan of action

• Ability to work and interact with other departments•
