Hammond Lower School seeks a dynamic and trustworthy individual to join our PreKindergarten and / or Kindergarten team. We are looking for an educator who is experienced in Early Childhood education, caring, organized, collaborative, and committed to a student-centered, developmentally sound learning environment.

• This full-time exempt position is an assistant teaching position that includes individualized or small group teaching across the content areas;
• maintaining an organized space conducive for student learning; contributing to a positive, joyful, productive learning environment;

and supporting strong communication with the lead teacher. Candidates of interest should be experienced educators, well-organized, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.

The ideal candidate will possess teaching or related experience in an Early Childhood program; however, candidates with related experiences, strong credentials, and outstanding references will be considered.

All candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of child development and best practices in teaching and learning. Experiences with one-on-one tutoring programs, working with divergent learners, Apple technologies, and Handwriting without Tears are a plus.

Required : Bachelor's degree or higher in Education and / or related field.

Reporting : Assistant Teachers report to the Head of Lower School.
