Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers of patients
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing, including venipuncture and phlebotomy
- Assist with wound care and dressing changes
- Perform basic patient assessments and document findings in medical records
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with procedures such as gastric lavage and suture removal
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience with electronic health record systems (eClinicalWorks)
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
