Small Animal Emergency Clinic is Hiring an Associate Veterinarian Near Colorado, CO

  • Clinic is open nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Emergency and urgent care only: no routine procedures and very little long-term follow-up / maintenance of cases
    • Only emergency clinic in the northern Texas Panhandle; receive referrals from ~ 150-mile radius in all directions and serve a wide range of races, cultures, and socioeconomic levels
  • Shifts are either 12 or 13 hours
    • full-time is 3 shifts per week, average of 12 shifts per month
    • shifts are typically grouped together so that every week, employees have four days off in a row (but this is flexible)
  • Compensation and benefits
    • ProSal
      • Guaranteed base salary of $750 for a 12-hour shift or $812.50 for a 13-hour shift ($62.50/hr)
      • 25% production past base times four
      • No negative accrual
      • Full-time vets earn between $140k and $200k per year, depending upon production
    • Benefits
      • $10,000 signing bonus per year, up to 3 years
      • Health insurance
      • Aflac supplementary plans telemedicine
      • 401(k) with matching up to 4%
      • Life insurance plans available
      • $1,500 per year towards CE
