Responsibilities
- Establish and improve standard operating procedures for purchasing
- Maintain cost variance analysis, researching and approving variance purchase orders
- Create job-specific cost budgets and monthly base budgets for retail pricing
- Participate in correcting design problems to minimize budget variances and reduce costs
- Manage databases for start status by community, model offerings, price files, and estimating
- Communicate and work with trade partners, negotiate prices and terms, solicit bids, research industry trends, maintain specifications, and compile start packages for Field Managers, including necessary permits and approvals
- High School Diploma Required
- Previous purchasing experience
- Proficiency in construction practices and terminology as well as the homebuilding process
- Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills
- Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment
- $60-80k depending on experience
