Overview

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the Hotel Property.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs and guest space, including waxing and stripping floors.
• Maintains building, performs minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
• Paints inside and outside the facility.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Notifies management of any customer complaints.
• Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks; ensures parking lot is free of trash and debris.
• Operates power equipment including: power washer, mower, etc.
• Ensures the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the hotel complex meets company and brand standards.
• Maintains restrooms, checking for cleanliness and re-stocking supplies.
• Answers phone calls promptly.
• Completes entire work list each shift.
• Keeps all cleaning supplies stocked, labeled, and properly stored.
• Practices all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
• Provides friendly and competent customer service.
• Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):

• General maintenance and/or custodial experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
• Must be well groomed and properly attired.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and any shift needed.
• Must have reliable transportation and phone.
• Must be able to communicate in English. – IF APPLICABLE
• Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
• Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
