Duties/Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Assist the Project Engineer in providing technical oversight across multiple disciplines, including structures, piping, naval architecture, and/or electrical engineering.
- Project Coordination: Support the execution of complex engineering projects from conception to completion, including assisting with technical studies, requirements management, and progress monitoring.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, engineers, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and alignment of project objectives.
- Documentation Management: Assist in defining, generating, and reviewing project requirements documentation within defined scope, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project objectives.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and escalate engineering, material, and planning issues as necessary, assisting in implementing solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Basic knowledge of scheduling and project management principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office products, and other relevant engineering software tools preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Three to Five (3-5) years' experience in shipyard design and ship construction
- Some relevant experience as an engineering assistant or project management assistant roles preferred.
