Job Description

The Production Planning Associate is responsible for the generation of upstream production schedules that ultimately lead to maximum curing efficiently and minimal green tire loss. In addition to the creation of efficient supply machine schedules, a primary responsibility is shopfloor coordination with production to ensure that bottleneck issues are resolved in a proactive manner. Daily reporting of goals versus results is expected. Follow all plant policies, environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies.

•Write and make available machine schedules to shop floor.

•Provide build out tracking information to area of responsibility.

•Meet daily (BT2) with Mixing Manager, Supervisor, Product Industrialization, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality and Maintenance to discuss mixers and mixing situation.

•Understand Plant Constraints (Build Rates, Machine Rates, etc...) and apply that knowledge to the weekly schedule. Maintain Planning Database to manage these constraints.

•Minimize the Number of Changeovers.

•Monitor and report shift performance to plan

•Must be able to read and understand written and oral instruction.

•Communicate with other Business Team members and Production in coordination with the Schedule.

•Demonstrates the characteristics of 5S to keep work areas neat, clean, aligned, and orderly.

•Follow all plant policies, environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies.

•Performs other duties as directed by the Production Planning Manager.

Medium work. Exposed to some heat and dust. Must be able to stand entire shift, frequently stoop, twist, bend, walk long distances, climb stairs, steps, ladders, and lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis. Push, pull medium to heavy. Have full range of motion in arms, hands, and wrists to perform job. Good vision acuity and ability to read tags on stacks and multiple pallets. Work with minimal supervision, any shifts or hours, As required. Some minor travel.

Actively participate in business team meetings, follow-up on efficiency and losses development, improvement of OEE/TEEP, performance goal setting and ensure the CBS approach is being applied within the cross functional business team.

Follow up on correct application of standards with production and support development of Standard operating procedures.

Conduct improvement workshops on the shop floor with production and any other stakeholders within the area of responsibility.

Ensure the implementation of standards according to CBS and ensure that the CBS tools are being applied correctly.

Participate as a champion for the area of responsibility for an area wide initiative such as 5's or TPM.

Actively participate in the CBT coaching reviews of level 1 teams and assist the level 1 teams in achieving the defined targets and realizing the innovations coming from the level 1 team.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/ GED Required

2 years manufacturing experience preferred.

Willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts – days, nights, and weekends.

Proven experience as office assistant or any other administrative role.

Working knowledge of Office equipment

Organizational and time management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office

Quality Controlled Document Experience

Understanding of office management procedures

ISO and TS knowledge

Ability to work in Business team in different areas of the plant.
