JOB SUMMARY
Hands on role that is responsible for the overall tasks involved in Shipping and Receiving: storage and shipping of our products. Use of fork trucks, building and breaking down crates, crane operation, use of power tools and learning/maintaining our ERP systems are key components of this role.
Performs all duties in a cost-effective, timely, accurate, and safe manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving
o Receive materials from trucks and assists with loading and unloading packages/crates.
o Enter PS and RMA receipts into Epicor system.
o Inspect material/delivery for damages and quantity before signing authorization of receipt; Record/reject damaged materials; work with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
o Transact all received packages through the Epicor system.
o Receive raw material: and perform material movement throughout shop
o Ability to operate and be licensed to operate all power lift equipment needed to load incoming and outgoing freight.
o Maintain inventory control via Epicor system and other computer systems (i.e., NM owned spares, customer spares, Molds, HR systems via Lean Lift and/or assigned shelving.
o Issue Po’s to subcontractors.
o Maintain shipping files, and Epicor dashboards
Shipping
o Must have a working knowledge of the Domestic and International freight industry.
o Provide freight/package shipping services as requested (UPS, FEDX, DHL, Freight).
o Package materials in damage-proof packaging for shipment.
o Transact all shipments through the Epicor system.
o Responsible to communicate delivery schedule changes and impact to customers to internal personnel.
o Must keep a safe, neat, and well stocked area
o Issue Po’s for manufacturing, shipping, and receiving, Cafeteria supplies.
o Ability to use power tools.
o Build crates for shipping
o Report customer complaints and product non-conformances to Supervisor for disposition.
o Maintain shipping files, and Epicor dashboards
General
o Must keep safe and neat, the entire shipping/receiving areas.
o Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
o Adheres to all NyproMold work procedures and quality policies.
o Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
o Performs reasonably related duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
o Must be a licensed Massachusetts Driver with a good driving record.
o Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
o Strong attention to details and follow-up.
o Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
o Advanced / ability to learn new PC skills, including training and knowledge of NyproMold's software packages.
o Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions.
o Ability to get along with coworkers, (interpersonal skills) and work in a team environment.
o Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Willing to accept different tasks and prioritize.
· Adheres to all NyproMold work procedures and quality policies.
· High school diploma or equivalency exam, along with 2-4 years of shipping/receiving experience including International and Domestic Freight.
· General knowledge of plastic injection mold manufacturing and mold components.
· Ability to read, write and interprets documents such as safety rules, comprehend operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
