The Contracting Specialist will be part of Benecard Shared Services Contracting Department. The Contracting Department performs services for Benecard Services, LLC and National Vision Administrators, LLC.
Benecard Services, LLC., is a full service prescription benefit administrator that includes mail and specialty drug dispensing. We specialize in delivering tailored benefit programs to private and public sector organizations. National Vision Administrators, LLC., is a vision benefit administrator which serves employers in both the private and public sectors and union welfare funds as well as MCOs, third party administrators and health care purchasing coalitions.
The Contract Specialist is responsible for every phase of contract development including preparation and finalization of Agreements and Policy Documents. Essential skills for this role are excellent command of verbal and written English and a strong attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Contracting Manager with daily monitoring and distribution of documentation from Contracting inbox.
- Assist Contracting Manager with data entry and update of Vision, Prescription and Broker tracking tools.
- Assist Contracting Manager with preparation of Prescription and Vision agreements and amendments.
- Assist on Audit requests for Vision and Prescription.
- Assist with preparation of broker agreements, appointments and work with Finance regarding broker commission.
- Assist with appointments for internal agents.
- Assist with follow up for unsigned Prescription and Vision contracts and amendments.
- Review contract benefits and forms to verify that they are in compliance with insurer's requirements.
- Monitor progress of obtaining Agreements and Policy Documents signed by our clients.
- Assist with Pay to Play and RFP requests from clients.
- Proofreading to review and edit all issued documents for accurate use of grammar and content.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Four year degree in a related field preferred.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems, customer complaints and/or requests.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
