Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental health care and providing support to patients with psychiatric disorders.

Duties:
· Conduct examinations or psychiatric evaluations daily while scheduled;

· Make diagnosis and prescribe medical and rehabilitative treatment for each day scheduled;

· Direct the aspects of treatments while attending practitioner;

· Prescribe medications;

· Provide supervision/serve as a mentor to subordinate clinicians;

· Confer with staff and patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment;

· Recommend indicated services;

· Make recommendations and referrals as appropriate;

· Conduct assessments;

· Conduct history and physicals and complete documentation of such within 24 hours;

· Provide clinic assessments and crisis interventions for psychiatric emergencies;

· Assure that care meets quality assurance standards;

· Order laboratory tests and evaluate results;

· Ensure that patient charts and records are accurate and meet legal and medical requirements;

· Prepare records and reports; input, access and analyze data using a computer;

· Attend/facilitate meetings;

· Performs psychiatric evaluations, assesses mental disorders, and makes recommendation for treatment;

· Prescribes and/or administers medication;

· Completes all required paperwork for managed care; and

· Provides in-patient services.
