Garden State Dental Design is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Clark, NJ

We are seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team who is confident, self motivated, and a team player . Our office offers comprehensive treatments, delivering excellent dental care, with our main focus being the patient experience. We are equipped with the most modern dental equipment and technology , so the ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working with patients in need of complex dental care requiring a multi-specialty approach and using an Intra-Oral Scanning Device. We are willing to train the right person ; new grads are welcome.

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures

- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment

- Take dental x-rays

- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care

- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records

- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar

- Assist with dental lab tasks such as pouring models and trimming temporary crowns

- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience

- X-ray certification required

- Knowledge of medical coding and electronic health records systems (Dentrix)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
