SAU 6 is located in the beautiful and picturesque Upper Valley Area of New Hampshire. SAU 6 is approximately 35 minutes from Mount Sunapee Ski Resort and 30 minutes from all of the concerts and athletic events at Dartmouth College in Hanover. The Connecticut River flows nearby making kayaking and canoeing very convenient after work and on the weekends. Hiking trails are plentiful. SAU 6-Claremont School District is now accepting applications for the following position:
Title: Certified Athetlic Trainer
Terms of Employment: 210 Day Contract; Monday-Friday. Weekends as needed
Job Classification: Exempt
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s Degree Preferred. Board of Certification (BOC). Maintain current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification.Maintain current state licensure in accordance with the State of NH Athletic Trainers Governing Board. Maintain current certification in CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care.
Job Goals: The job of an Athletic Trainer is done for the purpose of providing services to extracurricular activities and athletic programs. Athletic Trainers are directly involved in the phases of treatment and health care for athletes, including injury evaluation, injury prevention, first aid, and rehabilitation. This position will assist coaches by advising and treating athletes to maintain the highest physical performance and health. Please see attached job description for in depth detail.
