Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital is Hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Near Citrus Heights, CA

Fast-paced general practice looking for exceptional technicians with passion for customer service. The hospital is open 7 days a week. Full-Time Shifts are available for team player with exemplary multitasking skills and will require working one weekend day, either Saturday or Sunday.

Responsibilities are as follows:

-Exam Room Technician - Ability to manage time. Check in patients and collect medical information. Relay information to doctor and input electronic medical notes. Perform vaccinations and laboratory tests. Ability to fill medications accurately and communicate medication benefits and side-effects.

-Surgery and Dental Technical Skills - Induction of animals for surgery and dentistry. Ability to evaluate and extract any tooth for canines or felines. Suture ability required. Must be able to monitor anesthesia for patients during surgery. Ability to coordinate dental and surgery agenda with doctors and team. Communicate with doctors before, during and post surgery. Ability to calculate medications and fluid rates. Ability to perform digital radiographs for dentistry, relay plan to doctor. Passion for anesthesia. Ability to multi-task and stay efficient at all times in surgery. Discharge clients in a timely manner and complete medical notes and follow through with patients the next day.

-Treatment Technical Skills - Ability to perform radiographs, laboratory tests and restrain patients when necessary. Ability to keep work area clean and safe at all times. Ability to multi-task and keep pace of the busy workload. Ability to cooperate with other members to ensure all tasks are completed. Must be willing to always help others.

-Digital Technical Skills - Ability to book appointments through our Impromed system. Ability to book appointments through an online communication program (PetDesk). Ability to scan and send medical records.

-Customer Service Skills - Ability to relay information to clients in a concise and passionate manner. Professionalism is of the highest regard at our hospital. Ability to maintain composure during busy times is a must. High volume practice requires the best from you everyday.
