Behavior Analyst

Cinnaminson School District seeks a Behavior Analyst to fill an anticipated opening for the 2024-2025 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Board Certified
  • Demonstrates effective implementation of behavior Analytic techniques
  • Teacher and/or Education Specialist Certificate preferred

JOB GOAL:

Under supervision of the Director or Special Services, the Behavior Analyst is responsible for providing oversight of intensive behavioral intervention and specialized curriculum development through consultation to teachers with a focus in the Multiply Disabled Classrooms, along with staff throughout the District.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Trains teaching staff in applied behavior analytic teaching strategies, e.g., discrete trial, incidental teaching, verbal behavior, within the classroom. Provides ongoing training in the classroom through informal observation and feedback sessions with teaching staff. Trains staff in data collection, graphing and data analysis.
  • Conducts functional behavior assessments which include detailed behavior intervention plans.
  • Develops skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs based on functional assessment data summaries.
  • Assists teachers in accessing and understanding specialized curriculum for differentiated instruction within the classroom.
  • Collaborates with Child Study Team members regarding programming, behavior intervention and goals and objectives for students with autism. Assists Teachers in developing goals and objectives for students with autism. Collaborates and provides consultation to related service providers for students with autism.
  • Read, analyze and interpret scientific journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from consumers, regulatory agencies or members of the educational community. Effectively present information to a variety of audiences and groups.
  • Apply behavioral mathematical concepts and graphic formulations. Assess student progress through various dimensions of behavior and calculate and assess reliability and validity, correlation and sampling techniques.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of scientific constructs and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Special Services or the Superintendent of Schools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,236.00 - $73,886.00 per year
