Life Cycle Speech Therapy is Hiring a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Near Chula Vista, CA

Position title:

Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist

We are a specialized clinic where all clinicians are supported in their areas of interest to provide the highest level of care to each client based on their unique needs. We strive for efficient treatment outcomes where client progress is our top priority. 

Work hours:

Our clinic prioritizes work-life balance, so we offer a 4 day schedule (Monday-Thursday) for a competitive rate. If you prefer to work 5-day weeks, that is an option. 

Option 1: 4-DAY

Working hours: 32 hours; Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 30-minute paid lunch break

Option 2: 5-DAY

Working hours: 40 hours; Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 30-minute paid lunch break

Role and responsibility of the position:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
  • Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment programs.
  • Provide counseling to patients and patients’ families about results of testing and recommended treatment options.
  • Be a strong advocate for all clients to best support their needs. 
  • Establish patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment.
  • Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists in dentistry, psychology, or other related fields.
  • Complete authorization reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an educational institution approved by the Board of Speech-Language Pathology, passage of a Board-approved examination
  • Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - issued by the state of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
  • Certificate of clinical competence in speech pathology awarded by the American Speech and Hearing Association

  • RPE license
