Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce is Hiring a Marketing Director Near Chino, CA

Marketing Director

The Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce represents over 400 businesses in the Chino Valley, acting as a catalyst for business growth, a convener of leaders and influencers, and a champion for a stronger community. As our Marketing Director, you will work directly with businesses, impacting the local Chino and Chino Hills economy positively. You will have the opportunity to connect and support both small and large businesses at every stage of their journey, from securing a business license to becoming a trusted community partner. Businesses rely on the Chamber to serve as an integral ally in their success.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing and Communications

  • Develop and execute marketing programs and campaigns from concept to completion to increase Chamber awareness, membership, sponsorships, and member engagement.
  • Manage all Chamber communication systems, including website, social media platforms, email campaigns, blogs, news releases, electronic newsletters, and advertisements.
  • Produce Chamber-wide communications, including writing, graphic design, photography, and videography.
  • Create and manage marketing and communications processes.
  • Conduct membership surveys as required.
  • Create event publications such as invitations, fliers, digital ads, signage, etc.
  • Promote events through traditional and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Photograph and capture videos for Chamber events and member spotlights.
  • Create, produce, manage, and implement an ongoing member testimonial database.
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing metrics.

Administrative Support

  • Greet members and visitors at the office.
  • Process new memberships.
  • Create and distribute membership reports.
  • Manage email communications, including member events/deals, event promotions, weekly newsletters, legislative action newsletters, etc.
  • Prepare and disseminate materials for events, sponsorships, and other needs.
  • Update and expand the database using ChamberMaster.
  • Promote events calendar via email/social media regularly.
  • Oversee planning, communications, and outreach for some Chamber events.
  • Serve as the staff liaison to various committees.
  • Attend events, including some evenings and weekends, to assist as staff, take photos, and videos.
  • Perform general office tasks as needed, including filing, answering phones, greeting customers, and updating the database.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong external and internal communication skills to maintain and advance the Chamber brand.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Proficiency in major social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok).
  • Ability to utilize tools such as Canva for simple graphics/social media assets.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in computer tools, including word processing software, Constant Contact, Hootsuite, and WordPress.
  • Video and video editing skills are a plus.
  • Marketing/communications background preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Asana and Slack.
  • Keen eye for detail, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Exceptional people skills, problem-solving abilities, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in the Chamber office daily, M-F, 8-4/5.
  • Available to attend early morning, evening and weekend Chamber events as required.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry boxes up to fifteen pounds.

Education and Experience:

  • Four-year degree in public relations, marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.
  • At least two years of related experience.

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry boxes up to fifteen pounds.
  • Some higher education preferred.

The position reports directly to the President. This position is non-exempt (hourly) with a pay rate range of $22-$25 per hour.
