Position: Omeda is seeking a Mid-level SQL SERVER and SNOWFLAKE DBA to join our team. The role will involve working with cross-functional teams to optimize and troubleshoot database issues, as well as implementing backup and recovery strategies. You will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our database systems, ensuring that they meet the current and future needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake environments.
·Monitoring the health and performance of databases and servers, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing queries and processes for improved efficiency.
·Implement and maintain security best practices within the on premise and cloud environments, including user access control, data encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
·Identify opportunities for cost optimization within the Snowflake environment, such as optimizing resource utilization, implementing auto-scaling policies, and leveraging cost-effective storage options.
·Document configuration, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity within the team.
·Support after-hours and/or weekend key deployments or on-call rotation.
Job Requirements:
·BS/BA in computer science or related field preferred.
·5 years of SQL Server Database Administration experience.
·2 years of hands-on experience in implementing and administering Snowflake environments with in-depth knowledge of role-based access control, backup and disaster recovery using Snowflake Time Travel and on-premise to cloud replication.
·Strong understanding of relational database fundamentals with experience performance tuning and optimization.
·Experience working with SSIS and other ETL tools.
