Job Summary:

Help at Home has a track-record of being highly acquisitive. As a member of the Corporate Development team, this position will be responsible for managing the acquisition process from opportunity identification through due diligence to completion of the transaction. This position will report to the Vice President of Corporate Development and will have high visibility throughout the organization, including senior leadership.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Focused on the execution of all elements of the due diligence process, including the following:
    • Financial
    • Operational
    • Human Resources
    • Information Technology
    • Legal and Compliance
    • Market dynamics and trends
  • Responsible for financial diligence, deal modeling and financial projections
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to manage a well-organized and timely process, including establishing timelines for transactions and ensuring that targets are met.
  • Effectively manage relationships and accountability of third parties tasked with completing elements of due diligence.
  • Present diligence findings and investment rationale to senior leadership
  • Support other important Corporate Development activities, including target identification, sourcing and prospecting, as deemed necessary.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Education and Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience in investment banking, financial due diligence, management consulting, corporate development or similar professional services role.
  • Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Required Skills and Abilities: 

  • Energetic team player who is hard working, diligent, and intellectually curious
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and proactive
  • Highly collaborative - must be able to interact effectively across the organization
  • Comfortable working with smaller teams, rolling up sleeves to get work done
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Potential for up to 10-20% domestic travel, as required

Office:

  • Remote and office based in downtown Chicago 
  • Location: This position offers a flexible remote/hybrid work arrangement for candidates that are able to travel into the Chicago, IL office as needed. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Majority (90%) of work is conducted indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
